REQUIREMENT

At Dermacon, the client aimed to go beyond conventional product sampling by delivering an immersive, educational experience that would leave a lasting impression on healthcare professionals. Traditional methods often lacked engagement and failed to communicate the scientific value of the products. The objective was to create a high-impact, tech-enabled solution that not only educated HCPs about the mechanisms of action behind dermatological treatments but also ensured smooth, hassle-free sample distribution. The challenge lay in merging interactivity, compliance, and convenience into one seamless experience that could attract footfall, sustain attention, and simplify operations at a busy conference booth.

SOLUTION

To bring the product sampling experience to life, Activatr designed an interactive video journey tailored for HCPs. A sleek touchscreen kiosk was installed at the booth, allowing participants to select the therapeutic area or product category they were most interested in. Once a selection was made, an engaging MOA (Mechanism of Action) video played, using a mix of 2D and 3D visuals to explain the science behind the formulation. At the end of the video, the system automatically triggered a smart vending machine to dispense a corresponding product sample. This seamless integration created a futuristic, hands-free experience—blending education, automation, and delight in one fluid interaction.

RESULTS

The experience garnered exceptional engagement, with over 90% of booth visitors actively interacting with the video module—far exceeding typical sampling rates. The automated flow ensured that every HCP received compliant, standardized messaging without the need for manual explanation. Attendees appreciated the clarity of the MOA content and found the instant sample dispensing both novel and convenient. With over 650+ samples distributed in just three days. Overall, the interactive journey not only captured attention but also enhanced learning and streamlined operations—delivering measurable impact across engagement, education, and efficiency.
